Powered by a 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B quad-core processor and 4GB of DDR4 ECC memory, this NAS enclosure supports demanding workloads with sequential read speeds of up to 2200 MB/s and 1154 MB/s sequential write speeds. Performance can be further enhanced by installing up to 32GB of memory in addition to a compatible SSD cache drive adapter or multi-Gig Ethernet adapter into the enclosure’s PCI 3.0 slot. Connecting a Synology RX1217 expansion device using the InfiniBand port can scale your capacity to support 24 drives. Other features include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and the RackStation RS2421+ connects to compatible networks through its four built-in Gigabit Ethernet ports. Synology DSM is the installed operating system, which works with client systems running Windows 7 and macOS 10.12 or later.
